If you knew me better Lyrics

Do you think that I'm thinkin' about you, every minute of the day
Do you think I'm cruisin' around, runnin' my life away
Do you think I forgot you, wished that we never met
Do you think that I'm wishin' that I was one man, you'd never forgetDo you think I'm trouble and out for all I can get
Do you think I'm the sweetest most wonderful man that you ever met
Do you wanna be near me, do you wish I'd stay away
If they shot me tomorrow, would you wish that they shot me todayIf you knew me better, would there be any call
Would we be lovers or friends, or would you want me at all
A whole world between us builds too big of a wall
I wish that you knew me better, or didn't know me at allDo you think that I love you, do you think I'm all right
Do you think that I'm lying awake, thinkin' 'bout you every night
Maybe you think I'm crazy and maybe you're right
I think you re quite me a sinner, I wish that you knew me betterIf you knew me better, would there be any call
Would we be lovers or friends, or would you want me at all
A whole world between us builds too big of a wall
I wish that you knew me better or didn't know me at allIf you knew me better, would their be any call
Would we be lovers or friends, or would you want me at all
A whole world between us builds too big of a wall

I wish that you knew me better or...

Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in 1974 on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5,000 records and 500 eight-tracks produced. A&M was impressed enough to sign the band and re-release the album in 1975 which went gold by 1978. Flat as a Pancake would remain their most popular album spawning two charting singles, the well-known anthem "Never Been Any Reason" and "Love Me tonight", both written by guitarist Mike Somerville.
