Leonardo Lyrics

Ab antiquo, ab integro
Audi vide, tace si vis vivere in pace
Ab antiquo, ab integro
Audi vide, tace si vis vivere in paceWhy cannot man also fly? He's chained down to the earth
Not like birds in the sky, soaring from birth
Devices of destruction, devices of death
Find out their construction, give them life, give them breathWhich God may I thank?
Making art from a canvas, blank
Paintings from the Holy Book
Depicting Christ and the chance He tookOh, tell me, when will you ever learn
The true depths of my work?
Future is my concern, you know, art is my churchGaze inside the quest of man and find a new machine
I learn everything I can, dig it up, cut it clean
Always tried my very best to find what lies within
Put myself to the test, judge me not, it's not a sinWhich God may I thank?
Making art from a canvas, blank
Paintings from the Holy Book
Depicting Christ and the chance He tookOh, tell me, when will you ever learn

The true depths of my work?
Future is my concern, you know, art is my churchWhen I'm dead and I'm gone
Will you remember me?
I've seen beyond the sun, reinventing machinesAb antiquo, ab integro
Audi vide, tace si vis vivere in pace
Ab antiquo, ab integro
Audi vide, tace si vis vivere in paceAb antiquo, ab integro
Audi vide, tace si vis vivere in pace

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
