Nora Lyrics

I went to see my grandma today
I learned the difference between living and alive
Wall to wall roaches in a two by four infested room
Lying there in pain, praying for the Lord to take her
Nora, I hope it won't be too long for you
Nora, all these years you've been so strong
Nora, I hope you don't mind if I call you Nora
'Cause I love you
After leaving her, I turned my life around
I see new life differently through the vision of the old
Oh, material things don't mean that much to me
I guess I learned that I'm just glad to be alive and healthy
Nora, all this time that you have known me
Nora, you took your whole life just to show me
Nora, how we take some things for granted
Nora, Nora, oh, Nora, I love you
And though I know there wasn't long to go
Time was something that we shared

And when you died I didn't cry for long
'Cause I believe I'll see you again
Nora, I'll see you on the other side
Nora, I'll be the one with swallowed pride
Nora, are you sure you don't mind if I call you
Nora, oh, Nora, I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you
Oh, Nora, Nora, Nora

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
