Nothing to Lose Lyrics

Standing by my window
Darkest, coldest night I've ever seen
I feel like I'm fallin' over the edge of a dreamI'm looking back on all the fun we had
I can remember how we thought we had it bad
Laughin' and cryin' together and sleepin' on the floor
We had nothing to lose but it seemed like so much moreLivin' on love and highway signs
Didn't have nothin, just nickels and dimes
Woke up new and our hearts rang true
Thank God, we lived behind the timesChorus:
I'm thinkin' back on all the fun we had
I can remember how we thought we had it bad
Laughin' and cryin' together and sleepin' on the floor
We had nothing to lose but it seemed like so much more
And I hope that the good times come again
Hope that the good times come againNow I stand here all on my own
Watchin' the sunset, feelin' alone
Meet me back at the places and faces
And to all the good times we had knownChorusAnd I hope that the good times come again

Hope that the good times come again
And I hope that the good times come again and again

Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in 1974 on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5,000 records and 500 eight-tracks produced. A&M was impressed enough to sign the band and re-release the album in 1975 which went gold by 1978. Flat as a Pancake would remain their most popular album spawning two charting singles, the well-known anthem "Never Been Any Reason" and "Love Me tonight", both written by guitarist Mike Somerville.
