Pictures Lyrics

There I was standing in the middle
I can lean left or right
We didn't know it would take so little
To turn the darkness into light
Looking through pictures in my mindWe saw the sea, we saw the mountain
We watch the sun sink into night
Hand in hand there was no question
We knew the birds would soar in flight
Looking through pictures in my mindThese pictures come to me
And they make me think of you
I remember how it used to be
I know deep down inside, the love we had was true
It's all right to put the blame on me
Looking at pictures
(Repeat again after a break)Looking at pictures
Pictures in my mind
Pictures in my mind
Looking at pictures

Pictures in my mind
Looking at pictures
Looking at pictures
In my mind

Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in 1974 on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5,000 records and 500 eight-tracks produced. A&M was impressed enough to sign the band and re-release the album in 1975 which went gold by 1978. Flat as a Pancake would remain their most popular album spawning two charting singles, the well-known anthem "Never Been Any Reason" and "Love Me tonight", both written by guitarist Mike Somerville.
