Real Good Friends Lyrics

You came all this way to see me
There must be something I should know
Did you come here just to leave me?
'Cause I don't wanna let you goI know you need more from me
Than I can give, so now we'll seeWe can get along as real good friends
There's no need to say goodbye
Maybe better off as real good friends
So keep this love aliveToo much time and distance
Is what we were up against
And we didn't wanna listen
To the advice of our friendsThey said this can't last too long
They were right, they were also wrong'Cause now we're gonna be
Two real good friends
Even closer than before
'Cause that's the way I think
It should've always been
But we just wanted moreFrom the first time that we made eyes
We knew there was something there

If this is the last time
Then let's pretend we never met
So we can start againWe can learn how to be
Real good friends
Even closer than before
'Cause that's the way we knew
It should've always been
And now and now we have it allAin't it better now that
We're real good friends?
Even closer than before
We'll never have to worry
How the story ends
We'll just keep on wanting moreI'll be there for you all the time now
We'll never have to worry
How the story ends

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
