Rev It Up (NASCAR Rocks) Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Rev it up
Let it go
Don't hold back
Let it showIt's your team
Let 'em know
Put 'em to the test
Let's see who's the best
Rev it upEverybody start your engine
Line 'em up let's put 'em to the test, oh yeah
Slam the pedal to the floor

'Cause today we're gonna find out who's the best, oh yes'Cause we've got Earnhardt and Andretti
Verses Gordon in his Chevy once again, oh yeah
When Daytonas hot and heavy
Don't you count out Mr. Kyle Petty, he fights to win till the endOh, rev it up
Let it go
Don't hold back
Let it showIt's your team
Let 'em know
Drive it on the edge
NASCAR pulls ahead
Rev it upWhen the cup is in Miami
Oh man, you're sure to feel the heat
And when Labontes at the Glen
With those curves that never end, you're on your feet, it's warp speedTalladega, California, Darlington I gotta warn ya
The place is crazed
And if you think Stone Cold scare ya
Just try to pass on Mr. Dale Jarrett, to set the pace, oh, what a raceOh, rev it up
Let it go
Raise your hands
Let it showIt's your team
Let 'em know
Drive it on the edge
NASCAR pulls ahead
NASCAR rocksRev it up
NASCAR rocks

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
