Susan Lyrics

You hit me just like a cool breeze
Many have said what you say
But you said it to me with such easeI'm not sayin' I don't believe you, no
I'm just sayin' I don't know you, Susan(Susan, Susan)
We'll have time to learn about each other
(Susan, Susan)
Take your time so you know that you don't want another, noYou came along when I needed a best friend
I don't want it movin' too fast
'Cause I don't want to push it to the endI'm not sayin' that I don't believe you, no
I'm just sayin' I don't know you, Susan(Susan, Susan)
We'll have time to learn about each other
(Susan, Susan)
Take your time so you know that you don't want another(Susan, Susan)
Well, I've got plenty of lovin' deep down inside me for you
(Susan, Susan)
Make sure Susan so that we'll never say, we're sorry, noSusan, we'll have time to learn about each other
(Susan, Susan)
(Susan, Susan)

Take your time so you know that you don't want another, oh(Susan, Susan)
Well, I've got plenty of lovin' deep down inside me for you
(Susan, Susan)
Make sure Susan so that we'll never say, we're sorry, no(Susan, Susan)
Well, come on Susan
There just ain't no sense in losin'
(Susan, Susan)
This time we have together, oh, no, oh(Susan, Susan)
We'll have time to learn about each other
(Susan, Susan)
Take your time so you know that you don't want another, oh(Susan, Susan)
Well, I've got plenty of lovin' deep down inside me for you
(Susan, Susan)
Oh, oh, yeah, Susan

Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in 1974 on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5,000 records and 500 eight-tracks produced. A&M was impressed enough to sign the band and re-release the album in 1975 which went gold by 1978. Flat as a Pancake would remain their most popular album spawning two charting singles, the well-known anthem "Never Been Any Reason" and "Love Me tonight", both written by guitarist Mike Somerville.
