Walking Off the Buzz Lyrics

Amy woulda died for me
She would've had my baby
If I needed a favor
It was yes, she never said maybeAnd all the time that we walked barefoot in the sand
Somehow we never felt the rain
Now I got nothin' but time
She's got her life and now I'm crying, nothing but mineI could walk off the hurt, run through the pain
Wipe all the tears, pouring down my face
Deny the dream that just never was
Oh girl, I just can't walk off the buzzAmy used to call me all the time
But she hasn't lately
And I wonder if she goes out at all
And if she's datingAnd every time I walk alone along the beach somehow
I always feel the rain
So many times I wished for my space
Now I wish I didn't feel so outta placeI could walk off the fear, crawl through the hate
Beg you to forgive, my every mistake
Pretend you and I, it just never was

Oh girl, I just can't walk off the buzzAnd now that I'm lonely
I see you were the only one, yes
Who ever knew me, oh baby
And could see right through meI could walk off the hurt, run through the pain
Wipe all the tears pouring down my face
Deny the dream, that just never was
Oh girl, I just can't walk off this buzz

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
