Funny Lyrics

It's gonna be one of them days
I can feel itOn a day like today
I got out of bed, upped and went my way
Tryin' to find some peace within
But here ain't no rest for a weary manEverything seemed to get me down
Looking everywhere just to find a smile
Then the phone rings and an angel sings
"Hello, hello"And it's funny you should call today
It's been too long, thought you just moved on
And it's funny you should call today
You always found a way to make my dayGirl, tell me how is your family
I can't believe that you thought of me, baby
Baby, my heart is beating fast
You don't know how much I missed our past, yeahSeen a friend of mine a month or so
She said, you're doin' well, you've got it going on
Then the phone rings and an angel sings
"Hello"And it's funny you should call today
It's been too long, thought you just moved on

And it's funny you should call today
You always found a way to make my dayBaby, it's like you know when I was down and out, yeah
Like in the past when you would bail me out, baby, baby
And I just want to wanna thank you, girl
Just to hear your voice, girl, it changed my worldAnd it's funny you should call today
It's been too long, thought you just moved on
And it's funny you should call today
You always found a way to make my dayAin't it funny 'cause you should call today
I think 'bout it all [Incomprehensible] babe, it's yeah, yeah
And it's funny you should call today
We can just be friends, babe, ain't got to be your man
No way, no waySaid, it's funny, funny you should call me
'Cause I've been thinking 'bout it, babe
I've been thinking 'bout it, I've been thinking about it, baby
And it's funny, you should call meFunny you should, funny you should call me
Said, call me [Incomprehensible]

Gerald Levert (July 13 1966 - November 10 2006) was an rhythm and blues singer, one of several from the musical Levert family. His father, Eddie Levert, is the lead singer of the 1970s soul group The O'Jays. Gerald Levert sang with his brother, Sean Levert, and Marc Gordon in the R&B trio LeVert. He was also a member of LSG, an R&B trio also featuring Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat

During the 1980s and early 1990s, Levert scored big hits with "Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (Goes My Mind)", "Casanova", and "ABC-123" (not to be confused with the Jackson Five hit of the same name). As a solo artist, Gerald's hits included "I'd Give Anything (to Fall in Love)", "You Got that Love", and "Mr. Too Damn Good To You".

Gerald and Eddie collaborated together on many different occasions, and they recorded an album called Father and Son together.

Gerald Levert also sang the chorus on the Chris Rock spoken-word comedy piece, "No Sex (In The Champagne Room)".

In 2005, Levert's daughter Carlysia was featured on an episode of MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen.

Levert passed away due to an apparent heart attack on November 10, 2006. Sister 2 Sister magazine reported that Gerald and his father had just returned from a 10-day trip to South Africa where they had met with Nelson Mandela and were treated like royalty. Upon Gerald's return, he was excited about his upcoming album, which is due early in 2007. Gerald died in his sleep.
