Have Mercy Lyrics

Have mercy on me, have pity on me
You're making me weak, your love is so sweet
Please have mercy on meHave mercy on me, have pity on me
You're making me weak, your love is so sweet
Please have mercy on meI never met a girl like you, to keep me coming back
For the things you do, you make every little thing alright alright
When you rub me down, you relax me, girl and just your foreplay
Makes me toes curl, please don't stop you got me so confused
Oh Lord, have mercyHave mercy on me, have pity on me
You're making me weak, your love is so sweet
Please have mercy on mePlease don't do that if you want me to last
'Cause my temperature's rising and it's rising fast
Girl, you know just how to turn me on, baby
But you like having that control, don't you like making me hot?The feeling too damn strong, when I'm inside I'm so fulfilled
You're like a doctor, a doctor without the pill
Girl, you make me so excited, I holler and curse
Slow down baby, slow down baby, I'm about to burstHave mercy on me, have pity on me
You're making me weak, your love is so sweet

Please have mercy on meDon't do that baby, don't do it like that
Slow down let me, let me keep my pastHave mercy on me, have pity on me
You're making me weak, your love is so sweet
Please have mercy on meSaid you going to make me do that
Don't you want this love to last
Oh oh baby have mercy on meHave mercy on me please
Baby, it feels so good inside of you
Slow down baby, ooh ooh ooh ooh, ooh
Baby please, baby oh, baby stop it[Unverified]

Gerald Levert (July 13 1966 - November 10 2006) was an rhythm and blues singer, one of several from the musical Levert family. His father, Eddie Levert, is the lead singer of the 1970s soul group The O'Jays. Gerald Levert sang with his brother, Sean Levert, and Marc Gordon in the R&B trio LeVert. He was also a member of LSG, an R&B trio also featuring Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat

During the 1980s and early 1990s, Levert scored big hits with "Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (Goes My Mind)", "Casanova", and "ABC-123" (not to be confused with the Jackson Five hit of the same name). As a solo artist, Gerald's hits included "I'd Give Anything (to Fall in Love)", "You Got that Love", and "Mr. Too Damn Good To You".

Gerald and Eddie collaborated together on many different occasions, and they recorded an album called Father and Son together.

Gerald Levert also sang the chorus on the Chris Rock spoken-word comedy piece, "No Sex (In The Champagne Room)".

In 2005, Levert's daughter Carlysia was featured on an episode of MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen.

Levert passed away due to an apparent heart attack on November 10, 2006. Sister 2 Sister magazine reported that Gerald and his father had just returned from a 10-day trip to South Africa where they had met with Nelson Mandela and were treated like royalty. Upon Gerald's return, he was excited about his upcoming album, which is due early in 2007. Gerald died in his sleep.
