No Way Lyrics

Walking in the park and the conversation turned
To things we've never done, stuff we're not too proud of
And you ask me if, given a chance would I want this life I have
Over, over, what are you trying to say?'Cause there's no way, don't know how you can ask me
I'm damned if I'd do it again
No, there's no way, don't know where you been living
Why would you want such a thing?
Don't say everything'll be alrightGood is like a dragonfly, brushing me and passing by
But most of the time I'm just fighting off the cold
If only hope can pull you through with odds like that
I would never, never go back, you're asking in vain'Cause there's no way, don't know how you can ask me
I'm damned if I'd do it again
No, there's no way, don't know where you been living
Why would you want such a thing?
Don't say everything'll be alrightAll this slithering, this falling away from grace
I've been looking for the gold, but not in the right place
Hope is what I hope for every day
And since you're askingNo, there's no way, don't know how you can ask me

I'm damned if I'd do it again
No, there's no way, don't know where you been living
Why would you want such a thing?
Don't say everything'll be alrightNo, there's no way, don't know how you can ask me
I'm damned if I'd do it again
No, there's no way, don't know where you been living
Why would you want such a thing?
Don't say everything'll be alrightOh, no, there's no way
No, no, no way
Everything'll be alright

Once upon a time there was a girl called Lauren. She lived in grassy, green Madison County, Tennessee where people are as sweet as the tea they make. She'd sing songs in her yard and run around with ballerinas, big kitty cats and her brothers all the livelong day. One winter evening Lauren decided she wanted a change of scenery. She wanted to leave her comfortable grasslands and start a joyride. She traveled far to La La land and danced with the faeries in Beverly Hills, all the while humming along to Bob Marley and playing pianos.
