Painkillers Lyrics

15 miles outside of Rockland County Line
Where it all went down long ago
Baby don't be dumb, this is how you run
If you wanna leave with your heartbeatAnd I don't remember what we started
Fighting over and overBut I know that no painkillers make it go away
I tried them once before, it didn't work for me, work
And there's no painkillers make it go away
If I tried to overdose, it wouldn't bring no changeSirens out on 95
And I'm not dead tonightTook exit 81, I felt like throwing up
I finally did the math of where I'm going
And my heart breaks for you, but I got broken too
And I still wanna be someoneAnd I know you wanna fight
But one day you'll be thankful that I let you goBut I know that no painkillers make it go away
I tried them once before, it didn't work for me, work
And there's no painkillers make it go away
If I tried to overdose, it wouldn't bring no changeAnd even when it's cold, and even when I'm whacked
I won't want you back
The further I can go, the further I can see and I fight for that

But did you always know? Did it come out of nowhere? No painkillers make it go away
I tried them once before, it didn't work for me, work
And there's no painkillers make it go away
If I tried to overdose, it wouldn't bring no changeNo painkillers make it go away
I tried them once before, it didn't work for me, no, no, no
No painkillers make it go away
If I tried to overdose it wouldn't bring no changeSirens out on 95
And I'm not dead tonight

Once upon a time there was a girl called Lauren. She lived in grassy, green Madison County, Tennessee where people are as sweet as the tea they make. She'd sing songs in her yard and run around with ballerinas, big kitty cats and her brothers all the livelong day. One winter evening Lauren decided she wanted a change of scenery. She wanted to leave her comfortable grasslands and start a joyride. She traveled far to La La land and danced with the faeries in Beverly Hills, all the while humming along to Bob Marley and playing pianos.
