Try a Little Harder Lyrics

Can you spare some change?
Honey, I was just like you an hour ago
I know it sounds real lame
I just need a dollar and I have to get back homeNext time I pass someone on the floor
Next time I'll just try a little harder
Next time I'll just try a little harderI put it down on the floor at Macy's
It wasn't long, it wasn't long
I hope it made someone's eveningCan you spare some change?
Honey, I was just like you an hour ago
I know it sounds real lame
I just need a dollar and I have to get back homeNext time I pass someone on the floor
Next time I'll just try a little harder
Next time I'll just try a little harderSuch a change, you wouldn't believe it
Something lost, something gained
Under bridges, on the trainsCan you spare some change?
Honey, I was just like you an hour ago
I know it sounds real lame
I just need a dollar and I have to get back homeNext time I pass someone on the floor

Next time I'll just try a little harder
Next time I'll just try a little harder, oh
Oh, next time I'll just try a little harderI see someone lying on the floor
Next time I'll just try a little harder, yeah

Once upon a time there was a girl called Lauren. She lived in grassy, green Madison County, Tennessee where people are as sweet as the tea they make. She'd sing songs in her yard and run around with ballerinas, big kitty cats and her brothers all the livelong day. One winter evening Lauren decided she wanted a change of scenery. She wanted to leave her comfortable grasslands and start a joyride. She traveled far to La La land and danced with the faeries in Beverly Hills, all the while humming along to Bob Marley and playing pianos.
