Past Life Lyrics

There you were standing against the wall
Looking cool, sippin and lippin with your group of friends
And I knew just as easy as the air I breathe
You had a vibe that gave me reason to believe
.and I knew (I knew)
It was you (it was you)
Yes I knew (I knew)
It was you (it was you)If your past life finds you once more maybe
The one you're lovin now you loved before
So familiar it feels so right baby
Maybe I knew you in a past lifeThere we were inside a dungeon in spain
Or we were lions making love in the rain
In south america or was it japan
You were a woman, maybe I was a manBut I knew (I knew)
It was you (it was you)
Yes I knew (I knew)
It was you (it was you)ChorusAnd you walk over to me with that old cliche
Don't I know you from somewhere someplace

I start to laugh and say that just might be
This ain't the first time it's been you and meAnd I knew (I knew)
It was you (it was you)
Yes I knew (I knew)
It was you (it was you)

Breakbeat Era was a short-lived project that combined the breakbeat talents of Drum and Bass producers Roni Size and DJ Die with the vocals of singer Leonie Laws. Spearheaded by the single Ultra-Obscene, and then released as an album under the same title in 1999. It was one of the first rock/pop/drum&bass fusion albums, a genre which Kosheen also later explored. Since the album seems to be a one-off project, other releases seem unlikely.
