Terrible Funk Lyrics

Slide on in, slide on in between
Liquid base, babe, you're just a drop in the ocean
I look up, look up and lose my step
Watch you take your place in the sunDon't be shy, we all the same on the inside
Liquid base, babe, I'm on your mind
Slide on in, slide on in between
Liquid base, babe, I'm on your mindDrive to drive, man, they come from nowhere
Big black suits, no number on their jackets
Holy cow, no, I don't tell them nothing
I'm on your sideDon't go out, you'd think I'd learn my lesson
Day to day we fight a losing battle
Shine out shine, it's on the surface, baby
On the other sideYes, I see you, day by day
Don't go out, feel so strange
My own time, yeah, run to run
Drink so deep, yeah, I'm deaf and dumbSlide on in, slide on in between
Liquid base, babe, I'm on your mind
I look up, look up and lose my step

Watch you take your place in the sunSlide on in, slide on in between
Liquid base, babe, you're just a drop in the ocean
I look up, look up and lose my step
Watch you take your place in the sunDon't be shy, we all the same on the inside
Liquid base, babe, I'm on your mind
Slide on in, slide on in between
Liquid base, babe, I'm on your mindYes, I see you, day by day
Don't go out, feel so strange
My own time, yeah, run to run
Drink so deep, yeah, I'm deaf and dumbSlide on in, slide on in between
Liquid base, babe, you're just a drop in the ocean
I look up, look up and lose my step
Watch you take your place in the sunDon't be shy, we all the same on the inside
Liquid base, babe I'm on your mind
Slide on in, slide on in between
Liquid base, babe, base, babe
Base, babe

Breakbeat Era was a short-lived project that combined the breakbeat talents of Drum and Bass producers Roni Size and DJ Die with the vocals of singer Leonie Laws. Spearheaded by the single Ultra-Obscene, and then released as an album under the same title in 1999. It was one of the first rock/pop/drum&bass fusion albums, a genre which Kosheen also later explored. Since the album seems to be a one-off project, other releases seem unlikely.
