Time 4 Breaks Lyrics

No time for time
No time beat
Two days to go before we meet
Done it's done oh down on me
You didn't come so don't be guilty
All this charm is wearing thin
The maniac loose and she's wearing my skin
Here's to another crap weekend
You lie to yourself and you shit on all your friends
With no surpriseRemove it all and there I am
Hopeless and peeled in the baking sun
Oh young fish I'll fight anything that passes by
Half a mind to tell you
I want the rain to fall and clean you
I want the stars to fall forget it all
And drown beside you
No pupils no disguise
No pupils no disguiseGently in the slime drain

Wear a coat if it looks like rain
You said you'd come, you'd come alone
But the hours wore on and I got numb
Smiley monsters fill my head
Toothless sharks swim around my bed
I brick em up but leave them air
'cause seriously I'm not happy when they're not thereHow hard is your heart? my sledgehammer
Will split you apart, my sledgehammerSweet sweat hairs wet you ain't even sure who she is yet
Sweet sweat hairs wet you ain't even sure who she is yetHow hard is your heart? my sledgehammer
Will split you apart, my sledgehammer
How hard is your heart? my sledgehammer
Will split you apart, my sledgehammerWatch pieces of the ones you love fall off over time
Greedy in your sickness and your sugar and wine
On the one hand you put your arm out to the candy man in the van
In a perfect world yeah you can stand where I can stand.Time for breaks
Ok take it away

Breakbeat Era was a short-lived project that combined the breakbeat talents of Drum and Bass producers Roni Size and DJ Die with the vocals of singer Leonie Laws. Spearheaded by the single Ultra-Obscene, and then released as an album under the same title in 1999. It was one of the first rock/pop/drum&bass fusion albums, a genre which Kosheen also later explored. Since the album seems to be a one-off project, other releases seem unlikely.
