Photograph Lyrics

January you have
Come to greet me with a secret smile
What you wanna say
Tell me February's
Gonna make me happy over time
In a million ways
Cause im marching into madness
And i think i need a road mapCause 20 years have come and gone
And i cant remember half the things ive done
Or who i was to bring me here today
And i want a photograph
Of every month ive ever had
Cause they go so fast and i just want one to stay
But it doesnt work that wayApril, dont you know
You bring the rain, it overflows the city drains
It weighs my walking down
And May, oh maybe you will
Shine a light on me to keep me warm

And show me that you missed me
Just like i miss the june bugs
When we sit and watch the fireworksCause 20 years have come and gone
And i cant remember half the things ive done
Or who i was to bring me here today
And i want a photograph
Of every month ive ever had
Cause they go so fast and i just want one to stay
But it doesnt work that wayAugust comes, September goes
And soon the pumpkins getting all the love
But hes a selfish guy
And november ill admit
You got a way of making me
Remember what im really thankful for
And ill send my christmas cards
But it doesnt matter cause
No ones returning them anymoreCause 20 years have come and gone
And i cant remember half the things ive done
Or who i was to bring me here today
And i want a photograph
Of every month ive ever had
Cause they go so fast and i just want one to stay
But it doesnt work that way
It doesn't work that way
No it doesn't work that way

Once upon a time there was a girl called Lauren. She lived in grassy, green Madison County, Tennessee where people are as sweet as the tea they make. She'd sing songs in her yard and run around with ballerinas, big kitty cats and her brothers all the livelong day. One winter evening Lauren decided she wanted a change of scenery. She wanted to leave her comfortable grasslands and start a joyride. She traveled far to La La land and danced with the faeries in Beverly Hills, all the while humming along to Bob Marley and playing pianos.
