Strings, Strings Lyrics

It's all about you now, baby
Silly me, however you want it
Strings, strings, or no strings
Ain't no sunshine since you've been gone
Only rain, pain, and cloudy days spent all alone
If I could turn back time, I swear that it would be
The way it was when I was down for you
And you was down for me
Let no temptations
Get a hold of me
Said as long as you take care of home
Everything will be everything
Apology after apology
Girl I guess you stopped feelin' me
No more, I love you, no jealousy
I'm ready to change
Just don't leave me
Strings, strings or no strings

Baby I'll do anything
To get your love back
There could be strings
Or no strings attached
Strings, strings or no strings
Baby I'll do anything
To get your love back
There could be strings
Or no strings attached
Ooh baby, you once were committed
But I guessed I changed your mind
I'm willing to admit it
Girl I gave you a hard time
I just don't want you to go
Throw away the good things we shared
I'll leave it to you how fast we move
Girl I know you still care
Let no temptations
Get a hold of me
Said as long as you take care of home
Everything will be everything
Apology after apology
Girl I guess you stopped feelin' me
No more, I love you, no jealousy
I'm ready to change
Just don't leave me
Strings, strings or no strings
Baby I'll do anything
To get your love back
There could be strings
Or no strings attached
Strings, strings or no strings
Baby I'll do anything
To get your love back
There could be strings
Or no strings attached
Tell me how do you want me?
How do you need me?
How do you want me babe?
I'm willing to change, change, oh
I can't stand it here all by myself
Looking at the walls, I need ya baby
Oh baby I'm falling apart
I'm the one who blew this good thing
So tell me what you want me to do
I'm the one who blew this good thing
Will there be strings, strings or no strings
I'm the one who blew this good thing
So tell me what you want me to do
I'm the one who blew this good thing
Will there be strings, strings or no strings

Gerald Levert (July 13 1966 - November 10 2006) was an rhythm and blues singer, one of several from the musical Levert family. His father, Eddie Levert, is the lead singer of the 1970s soul group The O'Jays. Gerald Levert sang with his brother, Sean Levert, and Marc Gordon in the R&B trio LeVert. He was also a member of LSG, an R&B trio also featuring Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat

During the 1980s and early 1990s, Levert scored big hits with "Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (Goes My Mind)", "Casanova", and "ABC-123" (not to be confused with the Jackson Five hit of the same name). As a solo artist, Gerald's hits included "I'd Give Anything (to Fall in Love)", "You Got that Love", and "Mr. Too Damn Good To You".

Gerald and Eddie collaborated together on many different occasions, and they recorded an album called Father and Son together.

Gerald Levert also sang the chorus on the Chris Rock spoken-word comedy piece, "No Sex (In The Champagne Room)".

In 2005, Levert's daughter Carlysia was featured on an episode of MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen.

Levert passed away due to an apparent heart attack on November 10, 2006. Sister 2 Sister magazine reported that Gerald and his father had just returned from a 10-day trip to South Africa where they had met with Nelson Mandela and were treated like royalty. Upon Gerald's return, he was excited about his upcoming album, which is due early in 2007. Gerald died in his sleep.
