The Top of My Head Lyrics

Ooh, oh baby, come on baby
I just wanna groove one time, ohCome here, let me talk to you, say
I'm here tryin' to get you into the mood, baby, ooh
Into my room, wanna groove with you, yeah
(Take it off)Lay you down on my pillow
Ain't no limit to how far I might go, noI'm in the mood, we're gonna groove
Till the morning time
Till the sun shines, yeah
Till I hear you sayOoh baby, don't cha stop it now, say
Ooh, sugar, it's time for you to go down there
Ooh baby, I wanna give it good, say
I'm gonna be your man
Said, I'm tryna do my best at
At the top of my headI'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling you
I'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling youI'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling you

I'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove off the top of my headAin't tryna give you no old corny lies
(Just take it off)
Just wanna do what it takes to make you mine
Baby, I'm in the mood and I wanna groove with you
One time, two times, three times, baby
(All night)Till I hear you say
Ooh, baby, please don't stop it now, say
Ooh, baby, you could turn this ass around
Ooh, sugar, I wanna make it good
Now come here sugar
And all of this is off the top of my headI'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling you
I'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling youI'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling you
I'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove off the top of my headLovin' totally, all over yours and my body
You like it right there?
Do ya like it down there?
What about here, baby?Till I hear ya say
Ooh, baby, I feel like I never felt
Ooh, baby, the love you give gon' make me mad
Ooh, sugar, don't stop what you do to me
I wanna make ya feel like you live in ecstasy
Oh, top of my headI'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling you
I'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling youI'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling you
I'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove off the top of my headI'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling you
I'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling youI'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove, 'cuz I'm feeling you
I'm in the mood and you in the mood
I wanna groove off the top of my head

Gerald Levert (July 13 1966 - November 10 2006) was an rhythm and blues singer, one of several from the musical Levert family. His father, Eddie Levert, is the lead singer of the 1970s soul group The O'Jays. Gerald Levert sang with his brother, Sean Levert, and Marc Gordon in the R&B trio LeVert. He was also a member of LSG, an R&B trio also featuring Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat

During the 1980s and early 1990s, Levert scored big hits with "Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (Goes My Mind)", "Casanova", and "ABC-123" (not to be confused with the Jackson Five hit of the same name). As a solo artist, Gerald's hits included "I'd Give Anything (to Fall in Love)", "You Got that Love", and "Mr. Too Damn Good To You".

Gerald and Eddie collaborated together on many different occasions, and they recorded an album called Father and Son together.

Gerald Levert also sang the chorus on the Chris Rock spoken-word comedy piece, "No Sex (In The Champagne Room)".

In 2005, Levert's daughter Carlysia was featured on an episode of MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen.

Levert passed away due to an apparent heart attack on November 10, 2006. Sister 2 Sister magazine reported that Gerald and his father had just returned from a 10-day trip to South Africa where they had met with Nelson Mandela and were treated like royalty. Upon Gerald's return, he was excited about his upcoming album, which is due early in 2007. Gerald died in his sleep.
