These Lyrics

Here we are again
In a different space
In a different time
I swore if I ever got the chance
I wouldn't let you slip away, ha
And I'll give you
These thingsI want you to know how I feel about you
If I move too slow, it's 'cause I'm shy about you, yeah
See I put you high on a pedistal
I handle with care, I know you're fragile, babyThere's so many things that I wanna say, yeah
But I can't get past all your sexy ways, no
I know you could have any man you wanted to
So I'm taking this chance and I offer you baby, babyThese things
These arms
These lips
To feel you, to hold you, to kiss you ohThese walls
These eyes
These sheets

To keep you, to see you, to love youI ain't been one to open up, no, no
But you come around and I'm an open book, yes I am
My mental is taken to it's highest high
You could talk me out of each and every dime, baby baby
The physical thing, do we have to talk
Girl you come around, I can't stand up straight and walk, no
I know you could have any man you wanted to
So I'm taking this chance, I'll bring youI want you to know how I feel about you
If I move too slow, it's 'cause I'm shy about you, yeah
See I put you high on a pedistal
I handle with care, I know you're fragile, babyDon't have to have your hair done
Your nails pressed, your face on, no red dress
Just as you are, come to me
I'll pleasure you exclusively
I want you to grow with me
Things I should learn with your mind showing me
I'm all yours if you wanted me
Baby girl, I'm offeringI want you to know how I feel about you
If I move too slow, it's 'cause I'm shy about you, yeah
See I put you high on a pedistal
I handle with care, I know you're fragile, babyEverything you need, everything you want
Everything you need, baby
Wanna show you what real love is really all about
Let me tell you how baby
Come on

Gerald Levert (July 13 1966 - November 10 2006) was an rhythm and blues singer, one of several from the musical Levert family. His father, Eddie Levert, is the lead singer of the 1970s soul group The O'Jays. Gerald Levert sang with his brother, Sean Levert, and Marc Gordon in the R&B trio LeVert. He was also a member of LSG, an R&B trio also featuring Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat

During the 1980s and early 1990s, Levert scored big hits with "Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (Goes My Mind)", "Casanova", and "ABC-123" (not to be confused with the Jackson Five hit of the same name). As a solo artist, Gerald's hits included "I'd Give Anything (to Fall in Love)", "You Got that Love", and "Mr. Too Damn Good To You".

Gerald and Eddie collaborated together on many different occasions, and they recorded an album called Father and Son together.

Gerald Levert also sang the chorus on the Chris Rock spoken-word comedy piece, "No Sex (In The Champagne Room)".

In 2005, Levert's daughter Carlysia was featured on an episode of MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen.

Levert passed away due to an apparent heart attack on November 10, 2006. Sister 2 Sister magazine reported that Gerald and his father had just returned from a 10-day trip to South Africa where they had met with Nelson Mandela and were treated like royalty. Upon Gerald's return, he was excited about his upcoming album, which is due early in 2007. Gerald died in his sleep.
