mlady Lyrics

She deserves the finer things in life
The best clothes, best cars, best love, best wines
And if you can give her that, you should give her lovin' backTo somebody who's gonna treat her like a queen
Show her what love really means
And if you know it's really love you can never get enough of loveI will stress to the death for m'lady
Be a freak never cheat on m'lady
Go to work go to church with m'lady
Anything, everything I do for m'ladyI will dress to impress for m'lady
I will cry, I would die for m'lady
If you don't even try for your lady
If you don't just say g'bye to your lady, I love m'ladyDon't be afraid to tell the world about her
'Cause she's your rock and you can't do without her
And can't nobody come between what you and your woman mean'Cause she's your strength when you're weak
Hope when it's clean, faith when you need it
And when you're feeling it's not to you it's really love
You can never get enough, never too much, never too muchI will stress to the death for m'lady
Be a freak never cheat on m'lady
Go to work go to church with m'lady

Anything, everything I do for m'ladyI will dress to impress for m'lady
I will cry, I would die for m'lady
If you don't even try for your lady
If you don't just say g'bye to your lady, I love m'ladyI love m'lady, I cherish m'lady
If you love your lady treat her like a ladyAnd the fellas say m'lady, m'lady, she's m'lady
And the fellas say m'lady, m'lady, she's m'lady
And the fellas say my baby, sweet baby, my baby
And the fellas say my baby, m'lady, m'ladyI will stress to the death for m'lady
Be a freak never cheat on m'lady
Go to work go to church with m'lady
Anything, everything I do for m'ladyI will dress to impress for m'lady
I will cry, I would die for m'lady
If you don't even try for your lady
If you don't just say g'bye to your lady, I love m'ladyI love m'lady, I cherish m'lady
If you love your lady treat her like a ladyAnd the fellas say m'lady, m'lady, she's m'lady
And the fellas say m'lady, m'lady, she's m'lady
And the fellas say my baby, sweet baby, my baby
And the fellas say my baby, m'lady, m'lady

Gerald Levert (July 13 1966 - November 10 2006) was an rhythm and blues singer, one of several from the musical Levert family. His father, Eddie Levert, is the lead singer of the 1970s soul group The O'Jays. Gerald Levert sang with his brother, Sean Levert, and Marc Gordon in the R&B trio LeVert. He was also a member of LSG, an R&B trio also featuring Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat

During the 1980s and early 1990s, Levert scored big hits with "Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (Goes My Mind)", "Casanova", and "ABC-123" (not to be confused with the Jackson Five hit of the same name). As a solo artist, Gerald's hits included "I'd Give Anything (to Fall in Love)", "You Got that Love", and "Mr. Too Damn Good To You".

Gerald and Eddie collaborated together on many different occasions, and they recorded an album called Father and Son together.

Gerald Levert also sang the chorus on the Chris Rock spoken-word comedy piece, "No Sex (In The Champagne Room)".

In 2005, Levert's daughter Carlysia was featured on an episode of MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen.

Levert passed away due to an apparent heart attack on November 10, 2006. Sister 2 Sister magazine reported that Gerald and his father had just returned from a 10-day trip to South Africa where they had met with Nelson Mandela and were treated like royalty. Upon Gerald's return, he was excited about his upcoming album, which is due early in 2007. Gerald died in his sleep.
